Dr. Michael Lange opened his second eye care center in Gainesville, Florida, in 1994 in the Oaks Mall. His unique nutrition based philosophy of eye care combined with his great office demeanor allowed for very rapid growth of his Gainesville optometry center. In 1998 he decided to move to a much larger location next to Target on Archer Road in Butler Plaza West. Dr. Lange custom built the inside of this new Lange Eye Care center to have everything a state of the art eye care location would need and more. This new location housed eight examination rooms, a one hour surfacing lab, a complete finishing lab, a huge optical with over 3000 frames on display, a fully computerized pre test room, specialty testing rooms for visual fields, OCT, HRT2, digital photography of posterior and anterior segment, ultrasound, orbscans, wave front abberometers, a Hepa filtered Lasik surgery operatory with two lasers, a business office and a contact lens room.
